Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur).

Sandboxie is a software application that allows users to run programs in an isolated environment, known as a "sandbox", preventing any changes made by the program from affecting the host system. It can be used for testing new software, browsing the web, and running potentially unsafe applications without risking the stability or security of the host system.
